Thank God....It's Friday

I betcha thought I forgot, right?  Nope.  Sometimes I schedule my posts to pop up here at 9 AM sharp. Other times I schedule them for a different time or else write them during nap time.  This is one of the latter.  Without further ado, I give you
Thank God....It's Friday!

Praises
I truly thank God that I made it through this week with my sanity, with only one glass of wine, and still gainfully employed.  Because this was the kind of week when I find myself pondering how much I'd make if I worked at Sheetz.

We got to celebrate two graduations last weekend:  Cousin Anner (maybe her new blog name will be Cousin Scientist?) graduated from Virginia Tech, and Sweet Lizzy graduated with her master's from the University of Virginia.  They both had crazy hard majors that sound fascinating, but that I can't remember the exact names of.  Smart ladies, both of them!

This weekend is my mama's birthday.  I won't tell you how old she is, as she will then hunt me down and kill me.  Last I heard, she was counting backwards anyway.  Whatever the age, we love her to pieces and thank God for giving her 29 great years.  ;)

Requests
RIGHT NOW, Brian is having some trouble with his continuing neurological issues.  He's having vertigo and nausea, an inebility to concentrate, and other great symptoms. He took the Xanax that the neurologist prescribed, and it has completely wiped him out.  He's basically incoherant right now, and I'm having trouble waking him up every now and then to check on him.  Please pray for him!

Uncle Carroll had his appointment at Johns Hopkins this week.  The prognosis wasn't good.  The doctor he spoke to agreed with everything that had been done thus far and said that he would have pursued the same course of treatment.  He indicated that Uncle Carroll was probably in Stage IV when he was diagnosed instead of Stage II as was indicated at the hospital here. The doctor also said that Uncle Carroll is not a candidate for any experimental treatments, and that it's only a matter of time.  Please keep him, my aunt, their daughter and her husband, and two grandchildren in your prayers. The rest of us would appreciate it, too.

I haven't heard from MadHat76 lately about her husband.  I'd like to hope that no news is good news, but I'm afraid that in this case no news may mean no time to write because everything is falling apart instead.  Please lift them up!

I'm off to shake my husband awake and see if we can make it through the evening.  Happy Friday!
